May 15th, 2007 – Reunion Update
It has been a while since the last update. The Organizing Committee has been working hard putting together a First Class weekend.
To date we have 66 people registered. 80 Grads and quests have indicated that they are attending, 7 undecided and 4 no's.
Reminder - the hall has a capacity of 150
Friday Night - We are still working on a location. Right now it is either Clint's or Le Manoir (both in Point Claire). This evening is an informal meet and greet. It is open to everyone who attended Dorval High as well as Friends and associates of Dorval High.
Saturday - Apparently the Football game is still a go, surprisingly there has been lots of interest???. Want to take a walk through the hollowed halls of Dorval High? Well we have arranged access between 1:00PM and 5:00PM. The Banquet is shaping up nicely. Cost is $100 per person, this includes everything, wine for dinner, delicious hot dinner, drinks, DJ as well as some surprises.
Sunday - Brunch is planned, we have yet to firm up the location.
Have you Registered??? Have you registered and are undecided? well decide! If you can't make it we need you to register and let us know. Capacity for Saturday night is 150!

- All 162 graduation pictures from our '72 yearbook are now available in our Photo Album.
- A new and hopefully improved guestbook has been added.
April 17th, 2007 - Update
Well things are coming along nicely; to date we have 71 attending (47 classmates & 24 spouses/significant others). Capacity 120.
Activities arranged, tour of the hallowed halls of Dorval High - 3PM to 5PM Saturday afternoon, wine and cheese to follow at the Community Centre. Banquet Saturday night to include sit-down hot dinner, drinks, DJ and some surprises.
Activities in planning stage, golfing Thursday and/or Friday, meet and greet at a local Pub - Friday Night. Some other local activities - Football on Saturday, Brunch on Sunday.
We need your help! If you are attending we need a current photo to put on your nametag to go along with you grad picture (if your grad picture is not in the 72 yearbook, please provide both grad and current). We have started booking things and need some cash flow, please send your deposit of $25.00 per person (instructions on website).
You are encouraged to register as soon as possible, www.dhs72reunion.com. Pick your favourite tune from 72. The top hits from 71 will go onto the site in May. See where everyone is living, Take a look at some old pictures, send some to Sonny to put on the site The CLOCK is ticking, and don’t delay.

Well today is the BIG day. I am please to advise that the Reunion site is now available http://www.dhs72reunion.com/index. From this day forward all communications will be through that site.

Favourite Songs - This is fun, right now we have the Hits from 1972, go in and pick you favourite (only one at a time), I encourage you go back in and Pick your top 5 tunes. The 1972 Tunes will be replaced by 1971 Hits in April, 1970 in May and 1969 in June. Please go in and vote for your favourite from each of our High School years.
Registration - Important Tab. This is where we need everyone to go into. Reply either way. We need to know numbers so that we can plan events, name tags, food, booze etc...accurately.
I would like to again thank Sonny for the great job he did on the site. 168 days and counting (forgot to mention the clock!).
We need you to register. Please complete the form on the site. We are asking for a deposit $50.00 a couple and $25.00 for singles. The deposit will be used to secure facilities and misc expenses. Once the budget has been completed the final payment will be advised. Cancellations and full refunds will be accepted until August 1st,2007.

Please help us out and let us know your intentions. We have 102 e-mail contacts and 9 mail contacts from our Year book and another 20 contacts not in year book. The success of the event is largely dependant on knowing how many people are attending.
Final Note today, we are still looking for people, the sooner we find the better chance we have of them attending. Those of you who are working on leads (and you know who you are) we need you to come through.

We are in the process of constructing our own web site for the reunion. We have a count down clock, locator map, vote for your favourite tunes form 1969,70,71 &72 section, plus lots more. Should be ready to go next week. Thanks to our Web Master Sonny Hogg!
We hit 100 contacts this week. Still have 63 to find. I have attached the master list indicating who we have found, who we have leads on and who is missing. I know we can find them if everyone gives it a shot. I have also enclosed my communication from Feb 23rd for the folks who hadn't received it.

Update - We have located 55% of the Class of 72.
This might be our only kick at a Reunion. After all it has taken 35 years to get this far. I have attached a list of the folks we still need to contact and I am asking all of you to help us out. Do you know the whereabouts of anyone on the list? We need their e-mail or mailing address. maybe you have a brother or sister that knows the brother or sister, maybe you know where their parents are at. Many you know the city they are in and can narrow it down through 411. Lets all give it a shot.
If you find anyone, e-mail me right away and I will post an updated list once a week.
